چکیده
In this study, Quasi-Static Punch Shear Test (QS-PST) for AISI-304 stainless steel sheet material with 0.5 mm thickness was performed experimentally and numerically, then the results were compared. QS-PST designed non-standard according to need is especially used determine puncture resistance of composite plate materials against low-speed loading. Since obtained from are similar those ballistic tests, has attracted attention researchers. The experimental study carried out by integrating die punch which specially produced test, into an electromechanical tensile-compression test device a capacity 100 kN. order define properties correctly in numerical analysis, tensile tests relevant also same device. Then, CAD model system generated Finite Element Analysis (FEA) performed. FEA, mesh structure determined as tetrahedral, since it gave closer such analyzes increasing number 16700 151800 elements. Finally, numerically compared observed that result very close depending on mesh.

Experimental and Numerical Study of Perforated Steel Plate Shear Panels
Thin perforated Steel Plate Shear (SPS) Walls are among the most common types of energy dissipating systems. The applied holes reduce the shear strength of the plate and allow to decrease the profile size of the members at the boundary of the panel when these systems are used in the typical design of structures. On the other hand, the different fracture locations of these panels are visible whe...

In this study, the missile staging process by implementing a side-injected jet is simulated numerically. The problem is considered to be axisymmetric and the thin shear layer approximation of Navier-Stokes equations along with an algebraic turbulence model is used in a quasi-static form for the calculations. The free stream corresponds to a very high altitude flight condition with a Mach number...

In this paper, a three-dimensional finite element model has been developed to simulate the laser-TIG hybrid welding (HLAW) of stainless steel 1.4418 with thickness of 4 mm. Transient temperature profile and dimensions of the fusion zone and heat affected zone (HAZ) during welding process are calculatedusing finite element method (FEM) and were solved in the ABAQUS/Standard software. The heat sou...
